MFGSE, multifunctional ground support equipment

The MFGSE is a state-of-the-art ground support equipment cart which can be used on the F35. The unique modular design provides a compact yet powerful cart to execute all required maintenance activities from day-to-day operations to D-level maintenance. The MFGSE can be powered from both the electrical grid as well as a diesel-powered stand-alone cart, making use of the smart modular design. The modules of the MFGSE, which comply with all technical specifications of the F35, consist of:

  • Electrical power
  • Preconditioned cooled air
  • Hydraulic pressure
  • Diesel powered GPU

The MFAGE®-LTM

The MFAGE®-LTM is the smallest MFAGE and is light, compact and flexible in use. It is a module type which can be placed on a variety of trailers or trucks or can be used stand-alone in the field, in remote areas which require air support, during forest fire fighting, or on off shore locations like oil rigs where helicopters land.

The MFAGE®-LTM provides the following functions:

  • 3 types of Electrical power: 115 Volt – 400 Hz, 28 Volt DC and 230 Volt – 50 Hz.
  • Hydraulics: two systems, including hydraulic fluid de-aeration and super cleaning.
  • Pressurized air (for air starts) and pneumatics for tools.

The MFAGE®-S series

The MFAGE®-S series is a single axle version which can be towed on surface roads at 80 km/hour and off road as well, and is air transportable into todays cargo aircraft or under a helicopter. It provides the following functions:

  • 3 types of Electrical power: 115 Volt – 400 Hz, 28 Volt DC and 230 Volt – 50 Hz.
  • Hydraulics: two systems, including hydraulic fluid de-aeration and super cleaning.
  • Nitrogen bottles or nitrogen generation
  • Pressurized air
  • Pneumatic power, dry and lubricated (for hand tools)
  • Lighting mast, 4 meters high.

The MFAGE®-T series

The MFAGE®-T series is a twin axle version primarily for use on the platform or ships:

  • 3 types of Electrical power: 115 Volt – 400 Hz, 28 Volt DC and 230 Volt – 50 Hz
  • Hydraulics: two systems, including hydraulic fluid de-aeration and super cleaning.
  • Nitrogen bottles or nitrogen generation
  • Pressurized air
  • Pneumatic power, dry and lubricated (for hand tools)
  • Lighting mast, 4 meters high.

Your Trusted Partner

Our customers are the end-users of powered ground support equipment and aircraft component test equipment, and we like to consider them as partners. In many cases equipment is developed in close coordination with them.

Standard with Improved Closed Loop system

Contrary to a conventional closed loop system, with the Improved Closed Loop or Integrated testing/cleaning system, the hydraulic oil is continuously cooled, filtered, degassed and dehumidified. This system is a standard feature of all hydraulic equipment of Sun Test Systems.

The result is regenerated clean and de-aerated hydraulic fluid in the aircraft after hydraulic testing. Also maintenance time on the hydraulic system of the aircraft is reduced (less leakages, less replacement of hydraulic fluid, less waste) and operational reliability will increase and handling of the aircraft is improved.
